One-shot - Breakfast
Title: Breakfast
Pairing: Koyama/Shige
Rating: G
Word count: 306
Summary: Shige never has the time to eat breakfast in the morning.
Koyama gets up 20 minutes early and eats breakfast quickly that morning, before he goes back into the kitchen to get out a little bento box.
They have four apples - three green and one red. He disregards the red one completely and goes through a careful process of feeling each of the green ones until he finds the firmest. Once he's made his decision, he peels it and cuts it into neat eighths. Before covering it in cling-wrap, he squeezes on a little lemon juice to stop it from going brown.
Next, he makes an onigiri, and places it into the lunch box so that it's snug up against the apple slices. Two little sandwhiches cut into triangles follow, along with a tiny carton of orange juice.
He puts the lid on the box, before easing it inside a miniature duffel bag, cringing at the pink, flowery design that it sports.
He leaves the house five minutes late, but makes a slight detour before catching his train to buy a less embarrassing bag. Once he has it, he transfers the bento box into it, and folds the original one up and hides it away.
He arrives at work twenty five minutes after he's supposed to, but still finds the time to sidle up to Shige.
"You're late." He tells Koyama. Koyama smiles.
"Did you eat breakfast?" He asks, and Shige's mouth purses, the way it always does when he doesn't want to admit something but doesn't want to lie either.
Koyama doesn't force him to answer, and instead holds the bag of food out for him.
"I made you this." He says, and Shige rolls his eyes.
"You didn't have to." He replies, but accepts it anyway.
Koyama doesn't notice anything but the little smile on Shige's lips as he takes the lunch box from him.

Despite being a spoilt, white middle-class bitch, I am a very unhappy person, which is ironic, but also true.
Submerging myself in fandom and ficcing... yes. It's theraputic. :P

And I didn't know you put lemon juice on top of apples to stop it from going brown. XD ^^b
:3 Yup. It stops them from browning, but obviously it alters the flavour, and sometimes the texture. ^^; And if you cook fish with lemon, it can help to eradicate bad fishy smells and flavours that come from the fish being a bit old. :D
Hahaha, it's true!! Koyama's like a high school girl!
My ex-girlfriend used to do this for me before she became my girlfriend because I never ate breakfast. So even though this is fluffy sweet for some people, it's a tad... this story makes me want to cry. XD;;OWW.*bricked**whines* Shut uppppp. XD >< Hey, one can try, OKAY? XD
